Néstor J. Martínez Hernández is a medical doctor specialized in thoracic surgery, currently serving as Head of Department at the Ascires Biomedical Hospital.

He holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Valencia and a PhD in Physiology, awarded with cum laude distinction.

Dr. Martínez has a strong academic and editorial background, having contributed to several SECT consensus documents and serving as an editor for the journal Cirugía Española.
